It is fashionable to criticize the changes that have resulted from THE exploitation of _______ and to express dissatisfaction with the quality of X life they have produced. Yet an examination of the average condition of ______, even in the parts of the world where X human suffering is greatest, makes it clear that the discoveries of both physical and biological science have improved the condition of the mankind and are continuing to do so.
We do well to recognize clearly the problems of X overpopulation and pollution. But it would be hard to deny that at least for those of us in western countries the quality of X life has in general improved over the last century. Perhaps those who complain do not realize what their grandfathers suffered from X poverty, X ignorance and X disease.
